Eight persons were killed and about 12 others injured, four of them seriously, when a jeep carrying pilgrims was hit by a state roadways bus on the National Highway-24 in the district, police said today.The accident took place near village Badarkha last evening, they said.     The jeep was coming from Moradabad and was carrying pilgrims who wee returning after taking a holy dip in the Ganges on the occasion of Ganga dussehra.Police said eight persons have died in the jeep-busm collision. Four of them have been identified as Harender, 34 (the driver of the jeep), Shorajwati (55), Dayawati (34) and Premwati (35).     The injured have been taken to a hospital where the condition of four are stated to be critical.    A case of rash and negligent driving has been lodged.
