Eight persons, including three women were killed and six injured when the van in which they were travelling back to Bangalore rammed into a stationary lorry at Parasivelur near here this morning, police said.
 
The van driver was also among those killed.
 
Police said the 13 member group had visited all major temples in Kanyakumari and were on their way back to Bangalore when the mishap occurred.
 
The injured have been admitted to the government hospital at Parasivelur.
