Two persons posing as Income Tax officials duped a retired Electricity Board employee and his wife of 27 sovereings of gold and Rs 10000 at their residence here.   Police said the duo told Srinivasan (60) and his wife yesterday that they had come to search the house on specific information given by a person. They took the jewellery and cash and told the couple to take possession of it after rendering "proper accounts" at the Income Tax Office.   The couple realised they had been duped after Income tax officials at the office told them that nobody has been sent totheir residence. They later filed a police complaint.
