Several media outlets have reported that the US President is likely to fly down to Houston for the event before the two leaders head over to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly starting September 24.

Reports have also suggested that more than 60 US lawmakers are also likely to be present at the grand show in Houston.

The Prime Minister's upcoming interaction with the Indian diaspora in the US has been planned keeping in mind the regional flavour, therefore the title, a Texan slang — 'Howdy' Modi. Thousands of members of the Indian community are expected to attend the event.

Apart from PM Modi's interaction with the attendees, the event will also witness cultural programmes depicting the Indo-US ties.
