Climate activist, 22-year-old Disha Ravi, arrested in connection with the 'toolkit' case, was granted bail by a Delhi Sessions Court on Tuesday afternoon - subject to provision of two sureties of Rs 1 lakh each.

Disha Ravi has already spent six days in police custody and two in jail. Bail was granted today after the court reserved its order on Saturday.

In today's hearing Disha Ravi's counsel stressed that she had no links with the Khalistani movement, and that a case of sedition could not be sustained.

But what exactly is the case against Disha Ravi? We help you understand the sequence of events through the below pointers.

The allegations against Disha Ravi in pointers

Disha Ravi was arrested by the Delhi Police on the night of February 13 in Bengaluru, for allegedly making edits to a Google document that was shared as a 'toolkit' related to the ongoing farmers' protests.

Disha is the founder of 'Fridays For Future India', the country chapter of the international climate movement led by teen climate activist Greta Thunberg.

Prem Nath, a joint commissioner of the Delhi police, had alleged in the court that Shantanu Muluk was the owner of the toolkit, Disha Ravi and Nikita were its editors.

A woman named Puneet, based out of Canada, had connected them to the Poetic Justice Foundation, and through them created the 'toolkit' titled 'Global Farmers Strike' and 'Global Day of Action, 26 January', the police claimed.

Joint CP had alleged that Nikita and Shantanu had attended a Zoom meeting organised by the foundation with 60-70 people on January 11, where the modalities of the 'global day of action' were worked out.

It was alleged that Disha Ravi had also attended Zoom meetings with members of 'Poetic Justice Foundation', an organization alleged to have Khalistani links.

Police claim the Google document that was shared as a 'toolkit', was meant to revive a Khalistani group and was part of a global conspiracy to 'spread disaffection against the Indian state'.

"This was not just a toolkit. The real plan was to defame India and create unrest here," the police had said before Additional Sessions Judge Dharmender Rana.

It is alleged that Disha Ravi deleted WhatsApp chats, emails and other evidence and was aware of legal actions she could face.

"Why did Disha Ravi cover her tracks and delete evidence if she did not commit wrong," the police asked, alleging that his shows her guilty mind and sinister design.
