Satish Upadhyay and his son Abhishek were caught red-handed while taking the bribe from a farmer from Patiya village in Karjan tehsil of the district, an ACB official said.

Upadhyay's wife is the chairperson of health committee of Vadodara district panchayat, and the father-son duo had demanded bribe for facilitating conversion of the status of complainant's land from `agricultural' to `non-agricultural'.

The power to effect this change lies with the district panchayat, the ACB official said.

Both were arrested at their house here while allegedly taking the money.
