Parrikar was undergoing treatment in Mumbai for pancreatitis since February 15.

"Parrikar has arrived in Goa. It is a good piece of news that he has been discharged," Goa Legislative Assembly Michael Lobo said.

After landing in Goa, Parrikar went to his residence in Panaji.

The budget session of the Goa legislature has been curtailed to just four days ending Thursday due to Parrikar's illness. The Goa government will approve a vote on account with a full budget being approved during the monsoon session.  The BJP has 14 legislators in the 40-member house compared to 16 of the Congress. The government has the support of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP), Goa Forward and Independents (three each) and the lone NCP MLA Churchill Alemao.
