Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh today dismissed media reports claiming that the party in Madhya Pradesh would be divided into two groups soon.

Terming the reports as "false and baseless" Singh said, "I do not belong to any group in the Congress nor do I lead any group in the party."

A news report recently said that the Congress in Madhya Pradesh would be divided into two groups of which one will be headed by Singh himself and the other by the State Congress President, Suresh Pachouri.

Speculation about groupism becoming rampant in the Madhya Pradesh had been fuelled during the recent distribution of tickets for elections to local bodies in the State.

It was being said that various leaders from the Congress were vying for tickets to be given to their supporters either for the post of mayors or councillors.
