A 100-feet high national flag mast shall also be erected near it and the budget for the project will be Rs 25 lakh, Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma has said.

Dharamsala town will also have underground dustbins a deal for which was signed on Wednesday. It was signed between the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Vikas Labroo and a private firm.

Sharma said, "The company shall also create such dustbins in Sundernagar and Ponta Sahib after Dharamsala." These dustbins will be monitored through GPS system, he said, adding that the cleaning will be done using hydraulic cranes.

"A multi-crore rupee scheme is being developed with the help of Asian Development Bank to give the tourist places of Dharamsala a face-lift," he said.

Under the scheme, all the temples within the corporation limits will be developed in accordance with Himachal style of art and culture, Sharma added.
