Purushottam Sharma, a DG rank officer of Madhya Pradesh, was caught by his wife red-handed in an objectionable position at a woman's house. Following this, an argument erupted between the couple and the man reached home and assaulted his wife.

When this information was revealed to his son Parth, the son sent the video of the incident to the Home Minister, Chief Secretary, and DG, and requested to register a complaint against the father. However, a case has not been registered against the DG.

Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that he has seen and read about the viral incident. If a complaint in writing is registered, the state will act upon it.

It is said that Parth Gautam Sharma, son of DGP level officer Purushottam Sharma, is also IRS. He is an officer of the Indian Revenue Service 2014 batch. The video has been released by the son on social media. In it, the DGP is seen beating his wife.

The wife, in her defense, stabbed Purushottam with a pair of scissors. This incident of a fight between DGP Purshottam and wife was captured in the CCTV installed in the house.

MP State Women Commission Spokesperson Sangeeta Sharma said that such an incident will not be tolerated by the Women's Commission. If the wife of DG rank officer registers a complaint against her husband, the Women's Commission will take action after taking cognizance.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, so the Women's Commission will automatically take cognizance and take action. Such incidents by senior officials do not convey a good message in society, she further added.
