In his response to a query, Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said that Delhi government has issued orders for development work to be carried out in these 895 colonies, which were identified by it for regularisation.

Basic services such as roads, drinking water and sewerage systems are being developed in these colonies, the House was told.

Naidu said that the Centre has already framed rules for regularising unauthorised colonies inhabited by members of the non-affluent sections in Delhi. These colonies were notified in the official gazette of March 24, 2008.
