UGC has notified that the next National Eligibility Test (NET) for post graduate students to make them eligible for assistant professorship or junior research fellowship in universities will be held on 5th Novermber, 2017.
The detailed notification will be out tomorrow. It will be available on cbsenet.nic.in. The candidates are required to apply online from 1st August, 2017. The last date for applying online is 30th August, 2017 and fee can be paidup to 31st August, 2017. Candidates can know all the details by going through the detailed notification.
Central Board of Secondary Education will continue to conduct the National Eligibility Test for post graduate students to make them eligible for assistant professorship or junior research fellowship in universities.
Minister of State for HRD Mahendra Nath Pandey said this in the Rajya Sabha.
"As per directions of the Ministry of HRD, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been conducting the National Eligibility Test (NET) examination. There is no proposal under consideration at present to entrust responsibility of conducting the exam through any other mechanism," he said in a written response.
