Delhi: Youth sodomises 11-year-old boy, still at large

An eleven-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by a youth who lived in his neighbourhood in east Delhi's Jagatpuri area. The 25-year-old accused is still at large.

The incident took place on last night when the accused, identified as Shamshad lured the boy to his house on some pretext and sodomised him.

"Shamshad then threatened him of dire consequences if he dared to reveal the incident to anyone. Although the boy initially remained silent, but later revealed his ordeal to his parents who then approached us," said a senior police official.

Police has registered a case under sections of sexual assault, criminal intimidation and Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

"A manhunt has been launched to nab the accused who had fled soon after the incident," the official said.
