The Election Commission had moved the high court against his release on parole.

Ansari had today secured parole from a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court to campaign in his constituency Mau for the state elections.

After Rai's wife moved court, Supreme Court transferred the case to Delhi from Ghazipur district.
