Delhi govt formation: Aam Aadmi Party to decide on Monday, 272 public meetings over the weekend
To ascertain the authenticity of these public meetings and to endorse transparency in politics, AAP will video record the meetings and make them available online for everyone to see.
The pressure is on Aam Aadmi Party as the big decision to form the government or not in Delhi still remains to be answered.
AAP, which is carrying out a referendum to get 'a sense of what the people want', is expected to announce its decision on Monday.
" We are organising 272 Jan Sabhas (Public meetings) all across Delhi on Saturday and Sunday. Once the result from these meetings is out, only then will we announce the decision," senior AAP leader said.
Meanwhile, the party members are divided on the issue. Some feel that AAP should form the government with outside support from Congress while some are of the opinion that the fight against the big national parties should continue.
"In such a scenario, taking a call is getting difficult. If we do take a decison, it will reflect that there is no democracy within the working of the party. We believe in democracy and therefore the people of Delhi will help us decide," senior AAP leader said.
