Delhi: Fashion designer Mala Lakhani and her house help murdered, three confess to crime
The double murder was discovered around 3 AM, as per reports.
In a case of sensational double murder, 53-year-old fashion designer Mala Lakhani and her house help have been found dead in New Delhi on Thursday morning. Lakhani used to stay in elite Vasant Kunj area at South Delhi where her dead body was found. She had a boutique in nearby Green Park area. Lakhani and her 50-year-old house help Bahadur's bodies were recovered around 3 AM, as per reports. Both were stabbed to death. Their bodies have been sent for postmortem.
The Vasant Kunj (south) Police Station was informed in the early hours of Thursday following which a team rushed to the spot. Three persons have been apprehended in connection with the incident, Devender Arya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest), told PTI.
According to ANI, all the three accused have confessed to the crime. CP Ajay Chaudhary was quoted as saying,"" One of accused Rahul Anwar was a tailor at deceased fashion designer's workshop.He committed the crime with 2 of his relatives in an attempt to loot".
