NEW DELHI: The cloud of suspicion hovering over Apollo Hospital has not cleared yet. On Tuesday, the Delhi police questioned four doctors of the hospital including Anupam Sibal, director, medical services, and the spokesperson of the hospital. Two other doctors, who had earlier treated Rahul Mahajan, Prasad Rao, senior consultant, internal medicine, and Mukund Pandey, emergency medical officer, were also questioned.

The police wanted a detailed account of the line of treatment for Rahul Mahajan after he was admitted to Apollo on the night of June 1. According to sources, they questioned the doctors on whether there was a need to put Rahul on ventilator when he was admitted.

Anand Mohan, DCP, New Delhi said, “We are looking at all possible angles regarding the hospital’s role in the case. Today, the line of questioning was to find out further about the hospital’s or the doctors’ involvement.”

The police had earlier accused the hospital for delaying information and fudging facts related to the case. The police had interrogated members of the administrative staff along with other doctors. On Wednesday, a police team will question female staffers and nurses of the hospital to investigate the fudging of facts in the entry register.
