The closure will happen in two phases, from 6am to 10 am and then from 5pm to 7pm. The bar applies only to charter flight operators, non-scheduled flights and private aircraft, not airlines or military aircraft.
The closure might slow down early morning flights originating from Delhi, said a source. The Delhi International Airport Limited is coordinating with airlines to ensure that passengers are not inconvenienced. The airport handles 600 flights daily.
