Delhi: Chemical godown catches fire; 10 kids playing close-by injured
Six of these children who had 5 to 20 per cent burn injuries, were rushed to Mahaveer hospital where they are recuperating while four of them, who had minor injuries were given first aid on the spot.
Ten children sustained burn injuries when basement of chemical godown that they were playing close to caught fire here this evening in West Delhi's Shakurpur area, fire service officials said.
"We got a call at around 6:00 PM about a fire which broke out at house number 58 near Shashi hospital in Shakurpur. The blaze began at the basement of the godown. Around 10 kids who were playing close-by sustained burn injuries in the incident," said a DFS official.

Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control within 30 minutes, the official said.
