'Dear Mister Player': Priya Malik's hard-hitting poem lashes out at Hardik Pandya's misogyny

The episode featuring Indian cricketers, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya on Karan Johar's popular talk show Koffee with Karan triggered a massive uproar which led to their suspension from the Indian cricket team. 

Hardik Pandya has been heavily criticised on social media for remarks that have been widely condemned as sexist and inappropriate made on the show where he appeared with Rahul. 

Ex Bigg Boss contestant Priya Malik who is also known for her slam poetry slammed Hardik Pandya with her powerful poetry.

In the 2.40-minute long video, Priya schooled “Dear Mister Player” on respecting women on how "rampant misogyny" is not "cool". Take a look!

She recites, "Dear Mr. Player. Aaj main kar ke aayi. No, not sex but a lesson on respect, gender sensitivity and sexism." She shared the video with a note that said, "Very proud to share this piece with all of you because it says the things that need to be spoken to Mr. Player."

After being criticised for his comments on the show, Hardik Pandya apologized on Twitter. However, this didn't do much good as BCCI have put both Pandya and KL Rahul have been sent back home from Australia.

KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya have been suspended pending an inquiry.
