Parker, who was know to be the closest sister of Dawood, was staying in a posh apartment at Nagpada in the Golden Hall building. She is survived by two daughters, while her eldest son Danish had died in a road accident a few years ago.

According to sources, Parkar complained about chest pain in the afternoon and was rushed to Habib hospital, where she was declared dead 45 minutes later by doctors. Her body was then taken to her residence in South Mumbai.

Haseena Parkar, who is commonly known as Haseena Aapa, rose in the crime world after the Arun Gawli gang killed her husband Ismail Parkar in 1991. Dawood retaliated by killing Shailesh Haldankar, the sharp shooter of the Gawli gang, at JJ Hospital. Along with Haldankar, two police constable were also killed in the shootout.

Several complaints were registered against Haseena, who came to be known as the ‘Lady Don’. She had also faced charges of extortion in the past, but had never got arrested. After the 1993 blast, Dawood Ibrahim left Mumbai, but Haseena stayed back. It is believed that, she used to look after Dawood's businesses and disproportionate assets from behind the scene.
