At his day-long Sadbhavana fast at tribal dominated Dahod district on Saturday, chief minister Narendra Modi announced a development package of Rs1500 crore for all-round development of the district.

The amount will be spent for building new roads and bridges, housing projects, implementing new water supply and irrigation schemes, strengthening health and education sector, and to develop infrastructural facilities in the district.

Interestingly, to be associated with the tribal visitors in his fast event, he revealed the secret of his 'Modi' brand half-sleeve kurta. He said that while the Modi-style kurta has been appreciated in the society, years ago it was selected by a tailor from Dahod.He also criticised the Union government for meting out biased treatment to Gujarat. He also talked about Gujarat's development in his fast.

Religious leaders from various communities, people from all sections of society, sports persons, journalists, physically challenged and visually impaired children, school children, house wives, teenagers, royal family of Devgadh Baria, advocates from Dahod District Bar Association, Merchant Association, youngsters, old persons and thousands of tribal people dressed in their traditional attire met Modi.
