COVID-19: CM Yogi Adityanath to hold meeting today at 7:30 pm - details here

The Lucknow administration has imposed a night curfew in view of the rising coronavirus cases from 9 pm on April 8 till 6 am on April 16.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called an emergency meeting on Thursday regarding the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state. The meeting will be held today at 7:30 pm in the evening. The Chief Minister has been in the poll-bound state of West Bengal due to which the meeting could not be conducted today in the morning as scheduled.

After CM Yogi Adityanath returns back to Lucknow, the meeting will be conducted. The meeting will be attended by a team of 11 officials including Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh and Medical Education Minister Suresh Khanna who have also been called.

In the meeting, there will also be a discussion on the preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's video conferencing on COVID tomorrow. The meeting will also discuss the High Court's order on COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Lucknow administration has imposed a night curfew in view of the rising coronavirus cases. The restriction will come into effect from 9 pm on April 8 till 6 am on April 16. 

The night curfew will remain imposed from 6 am till 9 pm. Essential services will be allowed during this period. The restriction has been clamped in Lucknow municipal corporation area, not in rural Lucknow. Meanwhile, fruit, vegetable, LPG, petrol diesel, and medicine supply will continue uninterrupted. 

People coming to railway stations, bus stations and airports will be able to do so by showing their tickets. No restrictions have been imposed on the movement of all types of goods trains.

The Lucknow administration has also ordered the closure of all educational institutes, barring those imparting medical education.
