COVID-19: Islamic Centre of India issues advisory - Ramadan guidelines here

Islamic Centre of India has issued an advisory on Friday that all COVID-19 protocols be followed during Ramadan. The advisory comes at a time when India is facing a fresh surge in COVID-19 cases. India is the third worst-hit country after the United States and Brazil.

On Friday, India set a new record of daily COVID-19 cases with 1,31,968 infections reported in the last 24 hours. This is the fourth time in five days when India reported over one lakh new COVID-19 cases.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now is over 1.3 crores. 1,67,64 people have died of the infection in India, with 780 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours.

The fresh COVID-19 surge is much steeper than last year's wave. This has forced many states to impose strict restrictions and fresh curbs to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

All Namazi should go back to their homes before the night curfew begins

Not more than 100 people should gather in the mosque at a time

Wearing masks and social distancing should be taken care of in the mosque as well

No use of loudspeaker to wake up during 'sehri'

Do not gather more than 100 people in Iftar too.
