Corrupt people made Manmohan Singh helpless: Ramdev
Ramdev said that Singh was 'a helpless prime minister who is surrounded by corrupt people'.
Sharpening his attack on the Congress-led central government on the black money issue, yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Thursday said that Manmohan Singh was "a helpless prime minister who is surrounded by corrupt people"."There is a strong prime minister, and a helpless one," Ramdev said at a press conference here, 200km from Lucknow.Though Manmohan Singh is personally very honest, he has been made helpless by the groups of corrupt people around him, the yoga guru said. "If such a situation is allowed to prevail, it appears that the next session of the parliament would have to be convened at the Tihar Jail," he added.Ramdev accused the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) of not taking any concrete steps to bring black money stashed away abroad.He said a letter would be shortly sent to the prime minister, urging him to ensure concrete measures to bring back the money, check corruption and bring about transparency.
