In what could be a telling sign that campaigns for the upcoming Assembly elections will likely be a nasty affair, former Gujarat Congress president Arjun Modhwadia said that corporation-level leaders are leading the ruling BJP in the state."The BJP is leadership-less in Gujarat. Modhwadia also accused the BJP of resorting to negative politics saying the party was focusing more on Congress rule rather than talking about its own achievements.

"BJP has been in power in Gujarat for 22 years, but it does not have a single achievement to flaunt," he said, adding that the BJP has managed to hold on to power all these years, with false promises.
