NEW DELHI: With the Gurjar unrest spreading to Delhi, the Congress has decided to send a four-member delegation to Rajasthan to study the situation in the state and meet the kin and kith of those killed in police firing on the community last week.

The team comprising AICC general secretary Mukul Wasnik, coordinator for Rajasthan Virendra Singh, PCC president CP Joshi and the legislature party leader will submit its report to party president Sonia Gandhi.

Congress spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan expressed concern over the “deterioration” of law and order in Rajasthan and “breakdown of governmental machinery”. She said the situation was grave and there was a fear of the violence spreading to other states and Delhi.
