Congress today criticised BJP for its remarks after the Pune blast saying the opposition party's statements give a message to the world that India's political class does not have unanimity on the issue of fighting terrorism."The remarks made by BJP since Sunday are very irresponsible and opportunistic. A responsible opposition should not do it. Whether India has to hold talks with Pakistan or not is to be decided by the government but the way in which the top leadership of BJP has made statements on the issue sends a message to the international community that India's political class is not unanimous on the issue of fighting terrorism," party spokesperson Manish Tewari said. Tewari also said, "I feel that BJP perhaps feels happy from inside when such unfortunate incidents take place in the country as they get a chance to bake their political bread." After the blast, that killed nine persons on Saturday night, BJP has asked the government not go ahead with "misconceived and adventurist steps" like resuming dialogue with Pakistan and rehabilitating militants returning from PoK.It also criticised the UPA government for not taking the "nation, Parliament or even the Congress" into confidence before deciding on resumption of dialogue.
