Congress leader Digvijaya Singh marries TV anchor Amrita Rai: Report

Controversial Congress leader Digvijaya Singh married noted TV anchor Amrita Rai in Chennai late last month, reported Indian Express quoting sources.
The 68-year-old leader is currently in the US, while Rai was not available for comment. Last year, Singh had confirmed his relationship with Rai on Twitter.
He had tweeted, "I have no hesitation in accepting my relationship with Amrita Rai. She and her husband have already filed a mutual consent divorce case."
Later, on April 31, Amrita said, "I have separated from my husband and we have filed a mutual consent divorce papers. After which I have decided to marry with Digvijaya Singh."
Earlier, Amrita Rai's erstwhile husband Anand Pradhan had put up a post on a social networking website clearing the air of doubt. He had mentioned how the couple had been going through a rough patch and it was their mutual decision to part ways amicably.
