Congress today demanded a CBI inquiry into the death of a five-year-old girl in Barabanki whose body was recovered with a kidney missing on June 11.A delegation led by Congress legislature party leader Pramod Tewari today visited the family of the girl and demanded a CBI probe into the incident as locals fear the involvement of gangs involved in smuggling of human organs. Tewari in a statement said as the family of the deceased and villagers have alleged that the police of Ghunter police station thrashed Gaya Prasad, by branding him an exorcist, to death and framed the girl's uncle in the case, an impartial inquiry is not possible at the local level. Yesterday the state police claimed that investigation into death of Savita revealed that her kidney was taken out and eaten by the exorcist Gaya Prasad. Prasad who was arrested with the girl's uncle Anil Maurya, died in police custody leading to suspension of four policemen including the station officer.
