In wake of the summons issued to Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a drugs case, the Congress on Sunday demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe so that the culprits can be brought to justice."The Enforcement Directorate can only interrogate Bikram Singh Majithia in the money laundering case. Over here, there is more serious charges of abetting and helping the smugglers. So, this can only be done by an agency, ..…the nodal agency for the Interpol in India is the CBI. So, till the time the CBI does not probe this case, I don't think so we can really come to the right conclusion in this case," Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Partap Singh Bajwa told ANI in Chandigarh.Bajwa further urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to order a thorough probe either by the CBI or a sitting judge of the Supreme Court for time bound action in this matter."I will appeal to the Prime Minister that if you really want a thorough probe into this and you really want the culprits to be caught, the only thing is either a CBI or a sitting judge of the Supreme Court who should…. monitor the whole thing and come up with the revelations," he said.
