Condition of gang-raped minor girl still critical, say doctors at JK Lon

The condition of the three-and-a-half-year-old girl who was gang-raped and dumped at Dabla railway station under Neem Ka Thana police station circle in Sikar is still very critical, doctors said on Thursday.

She is still in the intensive care unit (ICU) at the JK Lon Hospital where she had been undergoing treatment since 2 am on Thursday. The doctors have said that the girl’s condition is still not predictable as she is under observation.

“Her vital organs are responding well, but we can’t say anything even after 24 hours,” said Dr Chetan Sharma while speaking to dna.

Doctors had performed a three-hour-long perennial reconstruction operation on Thursday and a unit of blood was also transfused to her as the girl had lost a large volume of it while being shifted to Jaipur from Sikar. The girl was found lying unconscious by her parents in the vicinity of Dabla railway station near which the victim resided in a makeshift shack.

She was rushed to a local hospital from where she was referred to Jaipur. An FIR was lodged and police have also detained two suspects. The victim’s father told police that the girl would identify the culprits once she sees them. Police are waiting for the girl to record her statements.
