Stating that his government has worked very hard on Ease of Doing Business, and undertaken several reforms and initiatives for making a New India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday invited Japanese companies to invest in India.

Speaking at the India-Japan Annual Meet, the prime minister said that series of administrative reforms undertaken by the government have significantly improved business sentiment in the country.

"We are positioning India as a global manufacturing hub. We have launched Make in India campaign. We are developing India into a knowledge based, skill supported and technology driven society through drives like Digital India and Skill India. For the same purpose, we have started the Start-up India campaign," Modi said, with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe listening intently.

The PM said that Japan can benefit tremendously with the size and scale of India's potentials.

"I invite more and more Japanese people and companies to come, live and work in India," he appealed.
