While chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was receiving grand felicitation from his hometown in Nagpur, his senior colleague in the cabinet Eknath Khadse delivered a blow by saying that someone from the Bahujan Samaj (non-Brahmin) should have become a chief minister.

Khadse, who was deputed by Fadnavis to perform puja at Pandharpur to mark Kartiki Ekadashi, was in Pandharpur on Sunday. Speaking to media persons he said that the Bahujan Samaj wanted someone from among them to become CM. He said, "I am not unhappy because I could not become CM but the Bahujan Samaj wanted someone among them.'' Khadse is the first Cabinet colleague of Fadnavis to express dissent in public.
