Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami today chaired a meeting of his cabinet colleagues and AIADMK (Amma) district secretaries to discuss conducting the birth centenary of party founder, M G Ramachandran.

The meeting was attended by senior ministers in the Palaniswami cabinet including C Srinivasan, K A Sengottaiyan and P Thangamani among others, the party said in a release.

The senior functionaries discussed MGR's birth centenary and other party activities, it said without elaborating.

Palaniswami had last week invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be the chief guest for the valedictory of MGR's birth centenary celebrations scheduled in December 2017.
