Chudasama, Patel bail plea hearing adjourned
The CBI, however, argued that they are part of larger conspiracy led by the elimination of gangster Sohrabuddin in a fake encounter case.
In their argument on the anticipatory bail application by Yashpal Chudasama and Ajay Patel, advocates said that the CBI has no evidence against two police officials apart from the confession statement by Raman Patel and Dasharath Patel.
The CBI, however, argued that they are part of larger conspiracy led by the elimination of gangster Sohrabuddin in a fake encounter case.
Chudasama and Patel’s advocates further argued that the duo had no role in the encounter case, though the CBI has, in its charge sheet, alleged that the two were also part of the extortion racket run by a senior politician with the help of police officials and goons. The court adjourned the case till Wednesday for further hearing.
