Warming up for the second phase of polls in Chhattisgarh on November 20 and in Madhya Pradesh on November 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi continued to attack each other in various rallies on Friday.

While PM Modi kept 'dynasty politics' as the main focus of his speeches using different analogies, Rahul kept his attack focused on PM Modi on issues such as demonetization, Rafale deal row and unemployment.

Addressing his longest rally in Ambikapur (Chhattisgarh), PM Modi harped on Congress saying the party cannot come to accept that a "tea-seller and the son of a poor mother" has become the Prime Minister of the country.

Referring to Shashi Tharoor's latest remark that it was because of India's first PM Nehru's emphasis on inclusive policies that even a tea-seller can also become our Prime Minister, PM Modi termed it as an insult of 125 crore Indians.

"I am asking the Congress to make an outsider the president of their party, do that just once for five years... then I will say that Nehru ji really created a truly democratic system," said Modi taking a jibe at Gandhi.

Daring the Congress to give account of four generations first, Modi said, if they do it "I will provide an account of my rule for the past four years".

The PM also spoke about the formation of Chhattisgarh and said that while the Congress had indulged in violence during and before the formation of Telangana, Atal Bihari Vajpayee government had created Chhattisgarh peacefully through dialogue.

He also spoke about Central government policies, such as Awas Yojana, Ujwala Yojana and Ayushman Bharat, the last of which he said is going to benefit a population more than that of "the United States, Mexico and Canada" put together.

On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a public rally in Deori town of Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, claimed that after writing off loans worth Rs 3.5 lakh crore of select industrialists, PM Narendra Modi would now waive their remaining debts worth Rs 12 lakh crore.

Terming demonetization as the "biggest ever scam" of the country, Gandhi said, "Modiji let Mallya, Nirav and Choksi flee the country with public money, leaving the countrymen behind in bank queues during notebandi. Did you see any big persons like Ambani, Mallya, Choksi in queues during those days." The Congress president also accused the PM of not talking about eradicating corruption any more.

Bringing issues specific to Madhya Pradesh, Gandhi also accused Shivraj Singh Chouhan's government of ruining the healthcare and education systems in the state by handing them over to the rich people.

Calling Vyapam as the "scam of the century", he alleged that the entire state knew that Chouhan and his family were involved in irregularities. He promised to waive farm loans within 10 days of coming to power in Madhya Pradesh just like his party-led governments did in Punjab and Karnataka.
