According to a complaint given by a leading jeweller in Chennai, three women allegedly walked away with a ring worth Rs 11 lakh on Tuesday. The three women reportedly came into the showroom near Rani Seethai Hall on Anna Salai as customers.

They wanted to see some diamond rings, which the showroom staff then displayed for them. The women reportedly went through many rings and eventually decided not to buy anything and left.

But when the staff took the showroom stock that night, they discovered that a ring was missing and informed the shop management. They in turn have filed a complaint with the Thousand Lights Police Station. The police have also registered a case.

The police are now investigating the matter and have asked for the CCTV footage from the jewellery showroom.
