Chargesheet filed against Danish Riaz by DCB Ahmedabad
The police alleged that he had contacts with the absconding accused named in Ahmedabad blasts case.
The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB), Ahmedabad, has filed a chargesheet against Danish Riaz alias Saif for his involvement in the Ahmedabad serial blasts of 2008. The police have alleged that Riaz had provided support to terrorists and helped them escape from the city.The police also alleged that Danish had contacts with the absconding accused named in the Ahmedabad blasts case. He was also suspected of exchanging several mails with Afghan leader, Mullah Omar, and absconding accused Abu Faizal. Riaz was arrested by a DCB team from Vadodara when he was traveling in Secunderabad Express. The police nabbed him based on the information provided by informers. Sources said Riaz was among the key Indian Mujahideen (IM) members who helped IM terrorists.
