India has yet again sent a notice to Twitter for not showing Leh as part of the Union Territory of Ladakh. The micro-blogging site has been showing Leh in Jammu & Kashmir. The notice sent on November 9 to the global Vice President of Twitter. It pointed out that Twitter’s action "is a deliberate attempt to undermine the will of sovereign Parliament of India which had declared Ladakh as a Union Territory of India with its headquarter in Leh."

Twitter has been given five working days to respond or face legal action for "disrespecting the territorial integrity of India by showing an incorrect map," sources said.

Last year India had revoked the special status for the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated it into two Union Territories -- UT of Jammu & Kashmir & UT of Ladakh.

This is the second time that India has raised the matter of Twitter incorrectly showing territories on the Indian map. Earlier this year, India's IT ministry had sent a notice to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey after Leh, the capital of UT of Ladakh, was shown as a part of China.

While that action was rectified by Twitter, it continued to show Leh a part of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
