CBSE class XII practical exams 2021: Tentative dates for exams released, check details here

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the tentative dates for class 12 practical exam.

The notification released by the CBSE states that the class 12 practical exams will be held from January 1 to February 8. It is to be noted that the dates are tentative, and the board will announce the exact dates soon. The students are advised to check for updates on the official website.

Moreover, the CBSE has also released the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) for conducting the practical examination.

Here's the latest SOPs:

1. Different dates will be sent to schools for practical examinations.

2. Practical exam and project evaluation work will be conducted in the respective schools.

3. Practical examination will have both internal and external examiners

4. An Observer will be appointed to supervise the practical exam, project evaluation

Meanwhile, the datesheet of the board examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for classes 10 and 12 will be released soon, announced board secretary Anurag Tripathi on Friday.

Tripathi was speaking at a webinar on the New Education Policy (NEP) when he put an end to all the speculations regarding the board exams. He said that the CBSE was making plans and it would soon reveal to the students and others involved how the central board would be doing the assessments. 

Since the coronavirus pandemic has not been controlled thus far, there were demands from different sections and groups to either postpone or cancel the upcoming board examinations. Tripathi's statement that the exams would take place for sure puts an end to the remaining doubts about the same.

Even though he assured everyone of the exams, he did not specify when they would take place. He did not say whether they would be held in the months of February and March, as per the schedule, or planned for some other time. That will be revealed when the datesheet comes out.

The examination schedule of the CBSE exams for class 10 and 12 for the session 2019-20 was disrupted earlier this year because of the coronavirus pandemic and the nationwide lockdown. The remaining exams were cancelled in July and the CBSE later implemented an assessment scheme for the scraped exams.
