CBI has registered a case against two officials of Air India for alleged financial irregularities in purchase of portable entertainment appliances.The anti-corruption wing of CBI has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Amod Sharma, then director in flight services and V Shrikrishna, then director of material of Air India.According to the agency, the duo had allegedly in connivance with private persons indulged in financial irregularities in purchase of portable entertainment appliances for flight services and caused loss to Air India.Searches were conducted at the office and residential premises in Mumbai and Delhi of the two accused persons.Sharma was found in possession of gold ornaments to the tune of Rs nine lakh along with the bank balance of Rs 17.35 lakh.
