Police in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh have registered a case against two senior officials of a private power firm for allegedly sexually harassing a woman subordinate.

The case was registered against the two officials at Tamnar police station in the district, based on the 25-year-old woman employee's complaint, yesterday.

No arrest has been made yet, station house officer, Tamnar, S N Singh said.

The complainant, working with the firm since 2014, alleged that one of the accused was sexually harassing her since January. When she complained to the other accused, his superior, the latter too molested her instead of taking action, she said.

A case under section 354 (assault or criminal force on a woman with an intent to outrage her modesty) and 354 A (sexual harassment) was registered, the SHO said, adding that further probe was on.
