A card board factory situated in the Leather Complex at Jalandhar was on Friday gutted in a blaze, official sources said here.

At about 6 AM, Harish Kumar, owner of the factory, received a call from a worker that smoke was emanating from the unit.

It took more than two dozen fire engines and five hours to extinguish the ensuing fire, the officials said.

The owner said the blaze caused a loss of more than Rs20 lakhs.
