Dharmendra Pradhan will take charge as the new Education and Skill Development minister as both the ministries have been clubbed. He is taking over Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank who resigned earlier today.

Pradhan has been the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office in 2014.

Hardeep Singh Puri will take charge of the petroleum portfolio, while BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia will head the civil aviation ministry and Ashwini Vaishnaw will take charge as the railway minister.

Mansukh Mandaviya will take charge of the Union health ministry while Smriti Irani is set to retain the ministry of development.
