Bus accident in Chandigarh kills 5, injures 15
A bus and car collided in this morning in Chandigarh, killing at least five people and injuring 15 others, IANS reported.
The luxury bus was travelling from Dharamsala to New Delhi and collided with the car at a traffic signal in Sector 45.
The police said that the bus caught on fire but was soon doused.
Three passengers inside the car and two from the bus were killed. The injured passengers were taken immediately to the Sector 32 Government Medical College and Hospital.
The police are trying to determine whether the signal was working when the accident took place, they said.
The police also said that both the car and the bus may have been travelling at a high speed.
