With the party not faring well in the Lok Sabha polls, the ruling BSP in Uttar Pradesh will launch a countrywide campaign to caution people against a "conspiracy" by opposition parties to prevent it from coming to power at the Centre.

The decision was taken at a meeting of BSP MLAs, MPs and ministers chaired by its President and Chief Minister Mayawati here on Saturday, a party release said here. To be launched from June 19, the awareness campaign will expose tacit understanding between the opposition parties including Congress, SP and BJP and their conspiracy to prevent BSP from gaining power at the centre, it said.

The party will hold meetings in all the districts of UP on June 19 as part of the campaign and follow them up with similar meetings in other states.
