Pakistani rangers again violated the ceasefire when they opened indiscriminate fire on the BSF patrol in the Samba sector on the International Border (IB) leaving one sub-inspector dead and a civilian injured.
Pakistani rangers started unprovoked firing at around 4 pm when the BSF party was patrolling between the fence and the Zero line in Samba sector.
A burst of fire hit the sub inspector in the back injuring his seriously. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead. BSF has decided to lodge a protest with the Pakistani rangers for this firing.
