The government of West Bengal has announced further relaxations in COVID-19 restrictions owing to the festive season and Durga Puja. The relaxations will continue between October 10 to 20.

As per the new notification, all shops, restaurants and bars can remain open as per normal operational hours. Late closing of bars may be allowed as per extant rules.

Earlier, in view of Durga Puja, night restrictions on the movement of people between 11 pm to 5 am between October 10 to October 20 was also relaxed.

However, people have been asked to remain cautious since the ease of curbs can help in the spread of the coronavirus.
