India's first solar mission, AdityaL1 successfully launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. India to join the elite space club in 125 days. For sixteen days, the Aditya L1 spacecraft will remain in Earth's orbit. The spacecraft will be positioned on the L1 point in the halo orbit around the Sun after a four-month voyage. 

The PSLV-C57 launched Aditya-Ll, India's first solar space observatory. In order to conduct a thorough study of the Sun, it will be equipped with seven separate payloads, four of which will measure in-situ characteristics of the plasma and magnetic fields while the other three will observe the sun's light.

The upper stage of the PSLV rocket and the Aditya L1 satellite separated. The mission was declared successful by S Somanath, the chairman of ISRO.

The vehicle has placed the satellite precisely into its intended orbit. India’s first solar observatory has begun its journey to the destination of Sun-Earth L1 point, says ISRO. 

PM Narendra Modi extends his gratitude towards the success of Aditya L1. "After the success of Chandrayaan-3, India continues its space journey. Congratulations to our scientists and engineers at @isro for the successful launch of India’s first Solar Mission, Aditya -L1. Our tireless scientific efforts will continue in order to develop better understanding of the Universe for the welfare of entire humanity."
